The Finnish National Theatre, Helsinki
The Finnish National Theatre is the oldest Finnish speaking theatre in Finland and is viewed as the most prestigious theatre in Finland. Despite being the oldest, the National Theatre is striving to stay at the frontline of technical development. Executing the general lighting of the theatre estate with LED tubes is a part of development. The LED tubes will be installed to the stages of the theatre as the special equipment of the stage lighting and luminous output develop further. The savings, low maintenace, long life span and environment friendliness have been the most important reasons to gradually adopt LED lighting in the renovated foyer and public spaces of the Main stage. In the Small Stage and Willensauna Stage and their storage and locker room areas, LED lighting will be adopted at the latest when the second phase of the renovation takes off. Cooperation with Valtavalo begun during autumn 2011.

BEMIS Valkeakoski Ltd, Finland
A printing press manufacturer BEMIS Valkeakoski Ltd switched to Valtavalo LED tubes from old, UV protected yellow fluorescent tubes. The biggest problem with the old tubes was bad colour reproduction, i.e. markings made with yellow highlighters were not visible at all under the yellow light. Working conditions improved greatly with the introduction of LED tubes and a true colour reproduction. LED tubes are a smart choice into these kinds of premises, because the tubes produce no UV light, which is harmful to the light sensitive printing presses. The staff is extremely pleased with the improved circumstances. There has been talk about the light, which resembles daylight, to be invigorating.
